On a sunshine-winter morning in February, I joined dancers Sarah Bush and Joan Lazarus for an artistic adventure in Joshua Tree National Park. Choreographing in real time, they danced while I sang my song “To Be”. At high noon, the sun flooded our scene and now with their shadows, the two dancers became a quartet, joined by the occasional chipmunk scurrying down a boulder. To be in nature. To be together. To be creating something new. These have been the gifts of the season, even as the world spins heavy under our feet.
Wildfire Music and News premiered our new video and published the backstory of how “To Be” came to be.
